Why Are Old Fantia Posts Still Locked After You Subscribe?

A paid Fantia plan may not include older posts. Understand joining deadlines, monthly backnumbers and the announced October 2026 change.

Joining a paid Fantia plan does not automatically unlock every post that creator has ever made. A post can have a joining deadline, with older material sold separately as a monthly backnumber.

That is why paying for a plan can leave the specific older work you wanted locked. A December 2025 reader question describes exactly this confusion: subscriptions, backnumbers and separately sold products appeared together, without an obvious answer about which purchase included which content.

The important label is 入会期限

入会期限 means the deadline by which you needed to join for access to that content. It is not the expiry date of the membership you have just bought.

Fantia's joining-deadline explanation says creators can set this condition on restricted content. Imagine joining on October 10 and seeing a deadline of September 30 on an older post. A current subscription alone does not satisfy that earlier joining date.

First locate the post you want. Check its plan, deadline and any backnumber or individual-purchase offer. A more expensive plan is not automatically a cure for a missed deadline.

A backnumber buys a particular month's collection

Fantia's backnumber help describes these as past restricted content packaged by month. Identify the month and the plan before paying. If you came for one named work, confirm that work is in the package rather than treating the thumbnail as the full contents list.

As checked on October 1, 2026, the published rule requires membership in a paid plan of that fan club to buy a backnumber. Budget for the current membership plus the old month's purchase where that condition applies.

A change has been announced for October 22, 2026. Fantia says users without a paid-plan membership will also become eligible to purchase backnumbers. The official announcement says further details will follow. That is a scheduled change, not the rule already in effect on October 1. If you are reading this after October 22, check the linked announcement and the purchase screen before adding an otherwise unwanted membership.

What happens when you leave?

The backnumber help explicitly says purchased backnumbers remain viewable after leaving the relevant paid plan. That differs from access you had solely because you were subscribed.

Do not read that as a promise that a file will remain online forever. Keep the purchase record, and use an official download option where the creator provides one if you need your own copy for permitted personal use. A screenshot of the order also helps distinguish a backnumber you bought from a month you merely subscribed to.

If you are returning after a break, check the creator's rejoining policy before repurchasing old months. Fantia introduced an optional setting allowing previous-period access when you rejoin an equal-or-higher-priced plan. Its rejoining help explains the notice to look for on the plan list. It depends on the creator enabling the setting.

For your next purchase, make a small list: the exact work, its month, required plan and total cost. If the creator offers it on another official platform too, compare the actual contents there. Matching creator names do not establish matching archives.
