A normal recurring FANBOX pledge pays for the current calendar month, not a fresh 30 days. If you join near the month's end, the next charge can arrive only a few days later.
FANBOX's billing explanation says the first payment is taken when support starts. Later payments are processed roughly between the first and fifth of each month.
That answers an old but persistent source of confusion. In one reader question, someone who joined on October 20 expected access until November 19. The platform's calendar works differently.
What an October 30 pledge means
Suppose you join a ¥500 plan on October 30. That first ¥500 is for October. If you continue supporting into November, the next monthly charge is for November, even though the two payments are close together. These are example amounts to illustrate the billing rule.
Before confirming, look at Support Start Date and Next payment on the payment-method selection screen. Do not substitute the date of your bank's notification for the date the service shows.
If you only want to start an ongoing membership and there is nothing time-sensitive to view, waiting until the next month can make sense. If the creator has a current-month benefit you actually want, check its stated conditions before waiting: a cheaper start date is no help if you miss the thing you came for.
You can stop recurring support without immediately losing that month's access
According to the cancellation instructions, go to Supported Creators, choose Change Plan, then Update payment method, and find Stop being a FAN. Complete the confirmation for the correct creator.
FANBOX says you can continue viewing supporters-only posts until the end of the month you stopped supporting. There is no prorated refund for the remaining days. Stop support before the next month if you do not want to continue; do not leave this to the last moment while waiting for a bank notification.
The official text describes month-end access, not an extra four days because renewal processing sometimes runs until the fifth. Read the support period shown in your account. A local date on your phone is not a substitute for a deadline displayed by the service.
Two close charges are not always the same problem
A late-October payment followed by a November renewal can match the stated cycle. Two settled charges for the same creator, plan and support month deserve a separate check. Compare the support periods and payment history before concluding that every nearby charge is normal.
Also check which service charged you. A pixiv account can be used across services; paying for a creator's FANBOX plan is a specific support purchase, not a blanket subscription to every creator you follow.
If payment is still pending, follow the payment troubleshooting steps before retrying. If you paid for several months at a Japanese convenience store, read the paid-through period instead: that method has a separate fixed-period arrangement in the official billing guide.
